qinetiqWALTHAM, Mass., Dec. 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — QinetiQ North America (QNA) has been awarded a contract from General Dynamics Electric Boat (GDEB) to design and develop a cradle lock Electro-Mechanical Actuator Power Conditioner / Controller (EPCC) replacement for the VIRGINIA Class Block V Weapon Stowage and Handling System (WSHS). The EPCC is a rack of hardware and software designed to control a number of precision actuators and is used throughout the VIRGINIA class fleet. Similar systems will also exist on the upcoming COLUMBIA class of submarines.
